Welcome to the Library!
The Library is open every day at lunch time and after school Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until 4.00pm. It is open to 6th Form students for private study throughout the day.Two friendly faces will greet you - our librarians, Mrs. F Barnes and Mrs. V Levett, are always there to help you to find the books and resources you need.
Because the Library is so popular at lunch time, we have a ticket system. This ensures that there is always enough space to work and read in comfort. The tickets are free of course! Students can collect tickets during morning break. .
You do not need a ticket to attend the After Scool Study Session, just turn up! See more about this on the link page.
More than books!
As you would expect, the Library has a growing collection of books - fiction and non-fiction. There are lots of other resources too. We keep a good stock of news articles and leaflets that are useful for research for English oral tasks. We also have five computers with access to the Internet - great for research and also for websites to help with skills such as spelling and maths.
We also have a range of journals and one of the broadsheets, The Daily Telegraph, finds its way to the shelf each day.
Also for staff!
All staff can borrow books, whether for bedtime reading or for help with planning lessons. Remember too that we have a staff-only shelf with books and articles relevant to education.
