The SEN Keyworker

Each student on the AEN register is allocated a Keyworker. This is usually someone from the Learning Support Team, the AENCO or Assistant AENCOs but it may be a Progress Manager. The same Keyworker will be assigned to the student throughout their school years.

The Keyworker monitors and reviews progress, and assesses the support needed. He or she is the main point of contact between the school and parent/guardian regarding AEN issues.

Parents/guardians may contact the Keyworker by phone or for an appointment during the school day. They are encouraged to meet with the Keyworker at Parents Evenings in the spring term.
