Welcome to the Dance department

Dance is a very popular subject at St George’s as the emphasis is on fun and enjoyment.

Our aim is to promote dance of all kinds to pupils, and to develop an enthusiasm for the Art, as both participants and an audience.

Although Dance is a separate department within the school, it is studied in relation to the Physical Education National Curriculum requirements. In class pupils learn to choreograph, perform and analyse dances using a variety of starting points.

Facilities

There is a purpose built dance studio with audio-visual equipment. A small library containing books, journals, videos and CDs.
